meet relevant national legislative requirements<\/li><li>&#8211; meet the basic requirements for competence and training<\/li><li>&#8211; demonstrate the implementation and operation of an occupational health and safety management system<\/li><li>&#8211; demonstrate commitment at all levels within the organisation<\/li><\/ul><p>It was developed from the OHAS 18001 documentation but enhanced specifically for the construction industry. It is based on \u2018best practice\u2019 requirements for international and national bodies.<br \/>Safe-T-Cert is recognised under the \u2018Buildsafe\u2019 initiative in Northern Ireland and the \u2018Construction Safety Partnership\u2019 in the Republic of Ireland. Safe-T-Cert is also a member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SIP).<\/p><h2>Applying for Registration?<\/h2><p>Contact our office and we will complete the process with you. Alternatively, you can contact<br \/>Safe-T-Cert, 143 Malone Road, Belfast, BT9 6SU<\/p><p>Your application will be processed, and a letter confirming Registration will be issued, along with information on the audit criteria.<\/p><p>You will then as a registered company, be required to apply for an audit within nine months of registration. Before applying for an audit, you should ensure that your health and safety management systems are ready to be audited and can demonstrate at least three months evidence of operation.<\/p><p>Upon receipt of the Application Form for Audit, the Scheme will appoint an auditor from its IOSH-approved auditor panel to conduct the audit. The appointed auditor will contact the applicant company directly to arrange a date for the audit. Continued Safe-T-Cert certification is subject to an annual verification audit. At an annual verification audit, you must demonstrate that your health and safety has improved and that all targets set at the previous audit have been
